The Gift of Inadequacy

Jon Acuff posted this TED talk by Taylor Gahm a couple of weeks ago. I have not been able to forget it and have watched it several times since then.

The more I think about it the more I realize how this is me. I want to be the famous one so I can say “fame is not that cool”. I do not want to be the one who is weak, who is inadequate, but I am. And facing this truth is important if I want to make a difference, if I want to help others.

Anyway enjoy (he does talk about his penis, so if that bothers you still watch it and don’t miss the point he is making)

I’ve had a couple of conversations about this type of thing lately (still in the process of watching it but commenting anyway). Was talking about Tony Dungy, who talks/writes about the process of how you do something & how that is more important than the outcome. BUT. Had he not had the outcome of success he did have, nobody would actually be listening to him talk about it!
